Log Chains Construction

These chains sometimes referred to as chokers, are specifically designed to wrap around the cut or fallen logs in order to safely and properly move them. They’re specially cut and designed to make log hauling easier compared to using regular chains and hooks. The addition of the probe at the end of the chain aids in the process of getting the chain under the log and wrapped around it faster.

Sizes Available at Mytee Products

We carry logging chains in two different sizes, both of which are Grade 70 and have different Working Load Limits.

• 3/8" Logging Chain: The 3/8” chains come in at a length of 10 feet and are able to hold up to 6,660 lbs.
• 5/16" Logging Chain: The 5/16” chains come in at 7 feet, but are much stronger and able to withstand 2 Tons.

The chains themselves won’t get the job done, however. You need a strong hook on top of that to make sure it all goes smoothly.

Choker Hooks as Logging Chain Accessories

Mytee Products not only carries top of line chains, but we carry exceptionally strong choke hooks as well. Each of these logging chain choker hooks is made out of heat-treated Drop Forged Alloy Steel, and depending on the size, has a Working Load Limit of 4,500 lbs to 6,900 lbs. They come in 3/8” and 5/16” sizes and should not be used in overhead lifting.
