How To Use Mytee Products' E-Track Ratchet Straps


Step One	Step Two	Step Three
Insert the long end of the strap through the ratchet. Pull some - not all - of the slack through. Only pull enough through to get your strap around/over your cargo.	Hook one end of the ratchet tie-down strap to your E-track slot. E-track tie-down straps are extremely adjustable, you can move the strap anywhere you need on the E-track. Once the strap is secure in the slot, pull most of the slack through the ratchet.	With most of the slack now pulled through, hook the other end of the tie-down strap to the other side of the cargo. Find a slot on the E-track system to attach the ratchet strap end - make sure it allows the strap to fit snug around your cargo. Begin ratcheting the strap until it is tight around the cargo. Be careful when tightening ratchet straps to not over-tighten them. This can damage softer or more fragile loads; it is recommended to use a cam buckle strap for fragile cargo.

The best way to determine what size of strap that you need to reach around the cargo with a piece of yarn or string, then take a tape measure and round up to the closet number. It is always a good idea to go slightly bigger than risking not having enough webbing.

McChock is large and solid. Was worried it would be the thin tubing h.f. style chock. But no, it’s nice, and I feel it will support my 550lb motorcycle no problem. Like all these e track details of safe use are in the installation. Use a backing plate under the floor! I had one initial problem with the Etk-McChock not mounting on already installed e track. The problem was that the e track clips mounted on the chock came to me BACKWARDS from the factory. The spring side was facing the round rubber cushion (front) from factory and it needs to face the motorcycle (back) to allow room to tilt and install it. Pictures show it the correct way. Mine just came backwards. You could mount the chock, then mount the e track, but I think that creates a weakness. The e track clips have a ‘proper side’ where trailer braking forces will hit the e track clip - on the long, spring-side slot. Installed the other way (spring to front), braking force would be resisted by the clip’s short side slot. Less room for distortion before failure.

The price is great, it's very durable, quality made and yet soft flexible material. It worked wonders holding my 2k pound pumpkin on the trailer for the 800 mile round trip journey to the weigh off. For years I have used an army surplus cargo net to throw over my trailer or truck bed to keep leaves bikes etc. from flying out.
