How to Use It:

• Clean and grind the metal areas on both the frame and the gate where you will weld the hinge to ensure a strong, clean bond.
• Place one half of the hinge (the outer two barrels) on the stationary frame and the other half (the central barrel) on the gate or moving panel.
• Use small tack welds to temporarily hold the hinge in place. Carefully test the alignment and swing of the gate or ramp.
• Once alignment is verified, apply continuous weld beads along the barrels for a secure, permanent installation.
• After the welds have cooled, paint or coat the entire hinge and surrounding area to protect the raw steel from rust and corrosion.
• Inject grease through the grease zerk until it begins to seep from the ends to ensure full lubrication.
