Additional Information

Want a shock absorber for your heavy-duty truck suspensions? Mytee Products brings a shock absorber that can fit heavy-duty vehicles, especially Peterbilt trucks. Our suspension shocks are a direct replacement for OEM part number 83008 and are compatible with Freightliner, Gabriel, and Meritor. These trailer shocks from our store can dampen the movement of your truck’s suspension and prevent excessive bouncing. They can also control the compression and rebound to reduce the wear on tires and other components of your vehicle’s suspension system.

  • Durability: The chrome piston rod of the shock absorbers provides corrosion resistance and durability during harsh weather conditions. At the same time, the dust tube and recoil cutoff of our shocks protect them from external elements and overextension which ensures their longevity.
  • Proprietary Valve System: These suspension shocks come with a 2-way valve system for both piston and compression valves which ensures better control over the damping force. This feature also provides more space for valve block and throttle slice positioning, which allows the system to adjust the damping force and stability under different load conditions.

Installation: Ensure the vehicle is securely supported, remove old shocks, and align the new ones with mounts. Tighten bolts to the specified torque once the vehicle is at its normal ride height.

When to Replace the Shock Absorber

  • If the truck starts to feel more bumpy or unstable, especially on uneven surfaces.
  • Oil or fluid leaking from the shock indicates that the seals have worn out.
  • Uneven or unusual tire wear can be a sign of worn-out shocks that no longer stabilize the suspension.
  • If it takes more time to brake, it could be due to poor contact between tires and the road, a result of failing shocks.
  • After hitting a bump, if the truck continues to bounce, it’s a strong indicator that the shocks are no longer functioning properly.

Why Choose Our Suspension Shocks

  • The chrome piston rod and double lip oil seal design ensure long-lasting performance in harsh conditions.
  • The 10-stage valving system provides smoother rides by controlling suspension movement more precisely.
  • The proprietary valve system and high-precision metal stamping materials make it more resistant to wear and leakage, extending its life.
  • Suitable for light and heavy-duty trucks, offering stability and comfort even under heavy loads.
  • The recoil cutoff and protective dust tube prevent overextension and keep the suspension system safe from damage.
