In order to store or use this winch properly, you can use it like a ratchet strap;
- Pull all the excess webbing through the winch after you have attached the winch strap hook to the one side of your load.
- Then Start ratcheting the Stake Pocket Winch tight.
- Once your winch is tightened down, Roll up the excess webbing and use a rubber band or store under your load.

Unfortunately this product is made in China but, stating that they are the best ratchet straps around. The steel is thick and it's not going to warp even if you put a bar to it. The material and the strength of the straps itself last years and are very strong.

A must have set. Trailer was designed with limited ratchets under the deck on the back third. These ratchet straps are perfect for vertical securement when closing the connestoga and lay profile with the load. Webbing on the flat hook end is the proper length not to interfere with the deck or clearance of the load.
