15" EPDM straps.. Mountains of Montana. Use these on tire chains, plow truck and backhoe. Regardless of what they say, went through tons of cheaper ones, which usually turn out to be plain rubber. Why? Truck and tractor sit in the sun, at high altitude, 4-5 months of the year. No,I do not remove chains or straps. So the rubber ones rot fast. Yep these EPDM last much longer, and work well. Yep, stiff to put on, on a cold day,lol. But hold up way longer, especially stetting over our limited summer. Yes, if it gets -20 or below, an you spin the wheels a bit, I may snap one or 2. But a small price to pay for their longevity!! I hate thinking about all the cheap ones I used to buy, from farm stores, parts stores and such, several handfuls every fall. Well, the bottom of the case is showing, after quite some years, so I just ordered a new case.Plus, have handed them out over the years,to neighbors. They also noticed a difference.
